In July 2023, the first of four supermoons will appear in the night sky, shining brighter than any other full moon event of the year. The supermoon occurs when the moon is closer to the Earth, making it appear slightly larger.

This month's supermoon is also known as the buck moon, named after the male deer's antlers growing during this time. Throughout the year, there will be a total of 13 full moons, including two supermoons in August and a blue moon, which will be the closest to Earth in 2023.

Additionally, there will be opportunities to witness various lunar and solar eclipses and meteor showers throughout the year.
