Former US Representative Mia Love, the first Black woman elected to Congress as a Republican, has tragically passed away after battling a severe form of brain cancer. Representing Utah's 4th Congressional District from 2015-2019, Love was hailed as a trailblazer and visionary leader by Utah Governor Spencer Cox.

Despite facing a grim prognosis of 10-15 months to live, Love remained hopeful and resilient, undergoing immunotherapy treatment as part of a clinical trial at The Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke University. Throughout her battle with glioblastoma brain cancer, Love's faith and determination were evident, as she continued to inspire Utahns through her courage and grace.

Her legacy as a pioneering figure in politics and media, including her role as a political commentator on CNN and guest on ABC's "The View," leaves a lasting impact. May her strength, positivity, and dedication to public service serve as an enduring example for all.
