The Dutch squad, boasting two points following their win over Namibia, made a strategic change by reintroducing right-arm fast bowler Kyle Klein in place of Timm van der Gugten.

Klein had previously delivered a commendable performance in the Netherlands' narrow defeat to Pakistan earlier in the tournament. On the opposing side, the USA made several adjustments to their lineup by bringing in Ali Khan, Saiteja Mukkamalla, and Nosthush Kenjige, replacing Andries Gous, Ehsan Adil, and Saurabh Netravalkar.
