Wagner Group's Prigozhin Threatens Mutiny Against Russian Defence Minister

Head of Russian military contractor the Wagner Group, Yevgeny Prigozhin has posted on social media app Telegram claiming his fighters have crossed from Ukraine into the Russian border city of Rostov-on-Don and would fight anyone trying to stop them. The message appeared to be a call to mutiny with Prigozhin accusing Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu, of ordering an attack on Wagner’s field camps in Ukraine.

He claimed 2,000 fighter had been killed, though he failed to provide evidence for that claim. The Russian authorities have launched a criminal case against the mercenary chief for making threats against Shoigu.
